Indigenous Partnerships

Operating in Western Canada, CDN Controls has built several strong and innovative partnerships with Indigenous communities in the areas we serve. We believe that partnership agreements with Indigenous groups are mutually beneficial for both our business and the communities we work in. Building constructive relationships with Indigenous communities by creating formal partnership agreements has taken on increasing importance in our activities. As a prerequisite for success, we strive to ensure our approach to developing partnerships is open, fair, and equitable so that the needs of both CDN Controls and our partner Indigenous communities are met. Although this process takes a considerable amount of time and resources, we believe that the relationships formed with our Indigenous partners are worth the effort.

Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business

Partnering with the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) in our efforts to sustain mutually beneficial partnerships with Indigenous communities, we strive to identify and confirm the benefits brought to Indigenous businesses and communities as a result of our collaboration.

CDN Controls and Halfway River CDN Controls have been members with the CCAB since 2016. Both companies are long-standing participants in the Progressive Aboriginal Relations program, which is a third-party verification of each organization’s Indigenous Relations program. Currently, we are PAR “Committed” Certified and are actively working on the next level of recognition within the program.

Pressing forward, we are continuing to engage and build relationships with other groups so that additional Indigenous communities across Western Canada can share in our success.
