How to Add CDN Email Account to a Smartphone

iPhone:

Delete the old CDN Controls Email account (if applicable):

  • Go to Settings
  • Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • Select the old CDN Controls account
  • Click Delete at the bottom
  • If it asks to remove contacts etc you can choose to keep them or delete them, they should sync up once you connect the new account.

Add the new email account:

  • Go to Settings
  • Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  • Add Account
  • Choose Exchange
  • Enter email address
  • Enter Password
  • Next
  • Ok
  • If it asks for more details:
  • For Server enter: outlook.office365.com
  • Change username to email address (ex: Usually firstname.lastname@cdncontrols.ca)
  • Next
  • Choose to sync all (calendar, contacts, email) and sync at least a week. Push messages.
  • Next

Android:

Delete the old CDN Controls Email account (if applicable):

  • Go to Settings
  • Accounts
  • Select the CDN Email type (this may be called Corporate or Exchange)
  • Select the CDN Email Account
  • Select the 3 dots in the top right (this may be in a different location depending on your phone)
  • Select Remove Account
  • Select Remove Account

Add the new email account:

  • Go to Settings
  • Accounts
  • Enter email address
  • Enter Password
  • Next
  • Choose Microsoft Exchange
  • Next
  • If a ‘Server Incoming Settings’ comes up edit the details:
  • Enter your email address (ex: Usually firstname.lastname@cdncontrols.ca) in the Domain\Username box
  • For Server enter: outlook.office365.com
  • Check Use secure connection(SSL)
  • Port 443
  • Next
  • Accept adminstrative control
  • Choose to sync all (calendar, contacts, email) and sync at least a week. Push messages.
  • Done
